AVANZA is a preclinical CRO that provides high quality regulatory-compliant drug development services. AVANZA is US owned and headquartered in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  The AVANZA team is known for its extensive work in toxicology, including vaccines, developmental and reproductive toxicology (DART), safety pharmacology, product development support, clinical pathology services, government contracting, and product development services.

Preclinical Services Portfolio

At AVANZA, we help our clients plan and conduct safety assessment studies to support compound development programs involving small molecules, vaccines, biologics, veterinary drugs, nutraceuticals, chemicals, and intermediates.  We conduct in vivo studies employing everything from acute to carcinogenicity protocols.

• GLP-Compliant Services — general toxicology, DART, safety pharmacology, vaccine safety, pathology services, and analytical chemistry.

• Species — mouse, rat, rabbit, guinea pig, canine, minipig, non-human primate, and pig / swine.

The AVANZA team has a hard-earned reputation for superior technical expertise, extensive regulatory experience and remarkable speed and flexibility in meeting the needs of its clients.  Our team is tasked to achieve an on-time or early report delivery rate of at least 95.0% and regularly exceeds it.  We have been delivering outstanding results to our clients backed by significant experience – and it all starts with the quality of our staff.  Our Study Director team includes PhDs, Masters, and Bachelor level scientists.  All of them are leading scientists, with an average of almost two decades of experience in the industry.  They all share the same client-centered focus and “can do” attitude that extends to every member of the AVANZA team and drives every AVANZA project.
